As you may know, CosmoquestX is helping scientists map the asteroid Bennu to find a sample site for the touch-and-go-sample part of the OSIRIS-REx mission.
It’s a citizen science project. There’s a simple tutorial, and then you’re off, mapping boulders, rocks and craters. THERE ARE SO MANY ROCKS. It’s been taking much longer than expected to map everything because of ALL THE ROCKS.
The deadline is coming up, and if you’re able to spare a few minutes here and there to help out, it would be very much appreciated.
And, you never know, the image you map may be instrumental in helping scientists locate the spot to sample.
